Initial ideas and drawings

Here I am going to document my  first initial ideas and drawings that I do for the development of this project.

Firstly I have gone through magazines and gone a few pieces of tracing paper. I am going to trace a selection of faces (any faces) from my mags, not just faces which are in the mags for make up but also just simple, natural looking girls. Because I can build up the make up..

I am actually really pleased with the outcome of these tracings. As shown here I have put some colour into the drawings, I have used watercolour for this small splash of colour. Obviously with make up campaigns and advertisement  colour is very important and so I am going to do some further experiments into using colour more and possibly lots more than I am used to.

Through out my work this past 2 years my work and turned out quite simple, but that is how I like my work to look, I dont want to stray too far from my style and what I like to do, but I also want to push myself into areas that I am not always used to.

I think for me its important that I go ahead and use this opportunity to show that I am capable of trying new things, even at this late stage of the course.
