Research - relevant illustrators

I am doing a little more research now into different ways in which I can develop my ideas with colour and experimenting. I am researching some illustrators that I have been following for a while, and watching what their work does and how its developing. One illustrator which I particularly like is Natalie Lines (http://www.natalielines.co.uk/) I just love her style and the simplicity of all her work. The detail is so great but the simple colour ways she uses really inspires me.

All of the above images are from http://www.natalielines.co.uk/

The make up drawings here are really relevant to my work and the kind of finish I am aiming to get in the final outcome. I want to put my own style into these but I am also striving towards experimenting with my pens and paints to get a more colourful and exciting look to them.
Natalie Lines here always seems to get the perfect amount of colour in all her work and I am looking closely into her technique and what colour she uses to achieve this.

This next illustrator is Carole Wilmet.

I have been looking at her work online for a while also and I absolutely love her style.
Her style is quite similar to Natalie Lines that I just looked at but they are different in their own ways.

These three pieces are 2012 commissioned pieces for various brands.
Although her style is alot more detailed than mine, that is what I have loved when seeing her work. I feel like it could be an old style photograph almost with the lovely feel of the hand drawn illustration too. I like the colour that has been put in and where it is put in, it has obviously been thought out well and placed perfectly to have the right amount of grey scale and also brightness in the pieces.

These are also commissioned pieces but are from 2011.

The make up piece at the bottom is what I am looking at closely here. I am looking at how precise she has drawn them, as I feel like I need my drawings to be recognisable of what the product will be by just a drawing. That is important for my show, as I won't actually be making the products, I am simply making the logo, 1-2 campaign posters and the wallpaper.
